About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Head of Programs and Operations to lead and manage our diverse portfolio of programs, oversee organizational operations, and drive our media and communications strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of our projects, optimizing operational efficiency, and enhancing our organizational visibility and outreach. This role will require strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders to drive organizational growth.

        Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop program objectives, goals, and strategies.
  • Monitor program progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure timely completion.
  • Develop systems to collect and track program-related data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Generate regular reports and presentations to update stakeholders on program status and outcomes.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for program-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage program budgets, expenses, and allocations in collaboration with the finance team.



  • Conduct post-program evaluations to assess the effectiveness of initiatives and gather feedback.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance program impact, efficiency, and participant satisfaction.
Operations Management:
  • Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Work closely with senior management to develop and implement organizational strategies, ensuring alignment with the organization’s long-term goals.
  • Drive organizational growth by identifying and pursuing new opportunities for program expansion, partnerships, and funding.
  • Manage vendor relationships, procurement processes, and contract negotiations to ensure the best value for the organization.
Media & Communications:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive media and communications strategy to enhance the organization’s visibility and reputation.
  • Oversee the creation and dissemination of high-quality content across various platforms, including press releases, newsletters, social media, and the organization’s website.
  • Manage relationships with media outlets, journalists, and other key stakeholders to secure positive coverage and increase the organization’s reach.
  • Lead the development of branding and marketing materials that effectively communicate the organization’s mission, values, and impact.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

 

 

       Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public reSocial Sciences Project Management and any other relevant field
  • 7-10 years experience in managing and implementing programs
  • Experience working on donor-funded projects (any of USAID, USADF, FCDO etc)
  • Proven experience in managing multiple projects and stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of working with government entities and relevant trade associations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience conceptualizing, designing, and implementing a project from start to finish
  • Knowledge of media relations, branding, and communications strategies.
  • Experience in any of these fields – Entrepreneurship, Education, Employability, Digital Skills or Gender
  • Experience writing project reports and proposals
  • Residency in Lagos and willingness to travel locally
