Are you driven by a passion for sustainable development and making a social impact? If you’re between 16 and 35 years old—whether a student, professional, activist, entrepreneur, or part of a youth innovation startup in Africa—this is for you!
The SDG Innovation Challenge is a virtual, pan-African platform designed for young innovators to create sustainable solutions addressing grassroots challenges and advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We focus on fostering innovation to enhance resilience, equitable resource distribution, inclusion, and environmental sustainability.
Aligned with SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), our initiative emphasizes collaboration and partnerships. In partnership with Global Goals Week (September 20-29, 2024), the challenge aims to drive action, raise awareness, and boost sustainable, inclusive solutions with local, regional, and global partners.
Under the theme Bridging Social Innovation Gaps: Propelling Youth-led Innovations for Sustainable Development the SDG Innovation Challenge 2024 converges young talent with three primary goals:
- To trigger fresh thinking by connecting innovators from diverse backgrounds and sectors.
- To develop practical, impact-oriented startups/projects through cross-boundary collaboration.
